Another month, another Stitch Fix unboxing, and man, my stylist knocked it out of the park again! I’m so excited to share the pieces I received this month!
Also, I definitely didn’t feel like putting on makeup for these photos, so I hope you appreciate my sunglasses. Does this totally disguise my makeupless (and for no reason, expressionless) face? Let’s pretend it does. I promise better photos next month!
Quick disclaimer: I may be a stylist for Stitch Fix, but I wouldn’t be sharing this with y’all if I didn’t think it was totally awesome. Promise! I don’t get any bonus employment incentives based on recruiting people and I’m not being paid to write this post. I do get a commission if you sign up via my referral link, but you don’t have to use that if you don’t want to. Good? Okay!
HOW STITCH FIX WORKS
The idea behind Stitch Fix is basically a personal stylist in a box. Each Fix is 5 items — clothing, accessories, and shoes — based on your personal style preferences and sent right to your door. It’s easier than shopping for yourself, especially if you hate shopping, plus you can try on all the pieces with the rest of your wardrobe! It’s not a subscription service, either — choose to get Fixes frequently or just whenever you have extra cash or a special event coming up.
The service itself is $20, but if you keep any of the items, that $20 is deducted from the price. Plus, if you love all 5 items, you get a 25% discount — which is basically a free piece! Otherwise, ship ’em all back with the included prepaid envelope. Easy peasy.
Stitch Fix Unboxing & Review
This month, I asked for summer tops/dresses and shorts. Emily, my stylist, did not disappoint and sent along two tops, two pairs of shorts, and a crochet vest to try out. I was excited that there were more than one pair of shorts since that’s an item that typically is hard to find for me — more options are always better!
Collective Concepts Elma Crochet Top
$48.00 — Keep
Y’all know I love my outer layers! I’m excited to up my boho-summer goth game with this cute crochet vest. It’s like a summer version of a shawl I wear constantly, so I already know it’ll go with everything. This was an instant keep for me.
Just Black Roxy Frayed Split Hem Denim Short
$58.00 — Keep
These shorts are labeled “burgundy” but I’d classify them as more of a dusty rose/purple color. I love the distressing and edgy fray details on the bottom. I was surprised at how well these fit — and they make my booty look great, too. I’m so excited to have a fun colorful pair of shorts for the summer!
Market & Spruce Zacharias Layered Top
$54.00 — Return
My stylist wrote in the note that she knew this would be a new color for me, but I actually LOVE the way it looks on me! It’s basically the same color as my eyes, and it matches the rest of my wardrobe. The back has a fun layered racerback/tank top detail. It’s an awesome top… except it was just a little bit too tight in the hips (the polyester layer doesn’t have any stretch). Bummer!
Dear John Lillie Distressed Cuffed Denim Short
$68.00 — Keep
I knew I’d love these from the moment I pulled them out of the box — I was just hopeful that they’d fit! Sure enough, they fit like they were made for me. I love the longer inseam and the cuffed bottom. These are the perfect pair of basic shorts.
Gentle Fawn Valterra Crochet Detail Top
$68.00 — Keep
I feel like my stylist has access to my closet. This not only goes super well with other pieces in my closet, but seems exactly like something I’d buy for myself. I love the crochet detailing, floral print, and flowy cut/fabric of this piece. It pairs really well with either of the shorts I was sent. I’m going to be living in this piece this summer.
I kept 4/5 pieces — the most yet — and I love them ALL. Thank you, stylist Emily, for making some A++ decisions on what to send me. If you want to sign up for a Stitch Fix box, click here to get you a Fix!
WHAT DO YOU THINK? DID I MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICES IN WHAT TO KEEP AND WHAT TO SEND BACK?
